Artemovsk (Bakhmut) was freed in May.

By March, the Russian army had liberated nearly 30 settlements in the Kharkov region. This was confirmed by Vitaly Ganchev, the head of the military-civil administration of the region.

In August, the Ministry of Defense reported that Russian forces were advancing in the Kupyansk direction. They liberated five settlements in the Kharkov region and reached the outskirts of Kupyansk.

In August, Kleshcheevka near Artemovsk was also liberated.

At the end of November, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of Artemovskoye (Khromovo) in the DPR.

ANKARA, Turkey — The Turkish Parliament’s foreign affairs committee gave its consent to Sweden’s bid to join NATO on Tuesday, drawing the previously non-aligned Nordic country closer to membership in the Western military alliance.

Sweden’s accession protocol will now need to be approved in the general assembly for the last stage of the legislative process in Turkey. No date has been set.

Latest situation in the Gaza Strip

Based on the latest videos & info from Gaza City, Israeli forces have withdrawn from Beit Hanoun & most of Beit Lahia area. But clashes continue in Jabalia & Sheikh Radwan areas. Also, the Israelis have retreated from some places in Shujaiyah.

In the central axis, during the last four days, Israeli forces have entered the Gaza Strip from the south of Bureij. Also, Israeli forces have taken control of most of al-Maghraqa and advanced in Juhr al-Dik. Now most of clashes are concentrated around Bureij & Nuseirat.

In the southern axis, the clashes continue in the city of Khan Yunis and no specific changes have been made in the lines of control. If new information is obtained, this map will be updated or corrected.

During the past few days, Israeli forces entered the Gaza Strip from two new axes from the south of Jabalia and reached the Israeli forces west of Jabalia camp and tightened the siege of Jabalia camp.

The UK has decided to re-task Royal Navy warship the HMS Trent and deploy it to Guyana after Christmas, according to British media reports

Instead of scouring the Caribbean in search of drug smugglers, the warship will take part in joint naval exercises with the former British colony and Commonwealth member. The decision was reportedly prompted by the current flare-up of the territorial dispute between Guyana and Venezuela.

"HMS Trent will visit regional ally and Commonwealth partner Guyana later this month as part of a series of engagements in the region during her Atlantic Patrol Task deployment," a UK Ministry of Defense spokesperson was cited as saying.

The warship will stay in Barbados, the Caribbean region of the Americas, during Christmas, after which it will be heading for Guyana. Its activities will reportedly be carried out at sea, and will not involve docking in Guyana’s capital, Georgetown.
