About Bangladesh. My friend meant, Hasina visited China and India the last weeks. Perhaps the Chinese told her if the unrest doesn't stop she'd better resign. Because he wondered why she did it so fast. Could it be the Chinese want to save her for further plans? Even when they greeted the interim government, I doubt they are happy with that development. Maybe the country under Hasina' s government was as corrupt as ever, but she did her best to hold US influence out there.

But now I have also the impression that there are also influencers to stir the hatred between Hindus and Moslems even further.

I have been following the development in Bangladesh for years, and I was very pleased that it became a kind of beacon of success. Life expectancy is almost as high as in Russia, men's life expectancy is even higher. Literacy has also been steadily increasing, which is important for economic development, and infant mortality has decreased. The gross domestic product (in $) per capita has increased very strongly, especially since 2009 (since the reign of Hasina). The decline in 2023 affected not only Bangladesh but the whole world. 

It makes me sad and angry that these achievements are now being sacrificed for the interests of the United States.

The wide chimneys that are often to be seen in nuclear power plants are actually the cooling towers of the plant. Since nuclear power plant produces large amount of heat so these chimneys are expelling the water vapor evaporated by the waste heat to cool down the plant.

Let us say it like this, if it was shut down, it is no biggy. if it was working with more than 50% of power, their cooling has stopped. if nuclear power reactors are not cooled down....things have a tendency to cook off..... fast. Like nuclear reactor with radioactive material would blow off into air.

if there is an explosion in the vicinity of that tower in the next few hours, bring your radiation detectors online. it should be advisable to see air currents over the area.
