Now I have to tend my fathers garden and that's not an allegory, that's my way of showing gratitude, and because I seem to do a good job, every year I'm given another section which I then maintain all year round. Ordinary Sri Lankans suffering as famine spreads through the country. Our post introduces you to tea picker, Marimuttu. She works on a plantation in a central Sri Lankan province, where the most expensive varieties are grown. Before this crisis, her family only barely made ends meet, but now they're on the brink of having no livelihood at all.
